Lutheran Men in Mission is a group of men in a Lutheran congregation that meet together to further their knowledge of God's Word, to do God's work and to develop a meaningful parternership with Jesus and other Lutheran men. It is becoming very close friends with other men by sharing experiences, both good or bad, that they have had or are currently undergoing in their lives and finding that other men have had or are having the same experiences. It is having these men say "How can we help you?" and actually mean it.  It is having men who will share the entire experience with one another to include the pain and men who truly mean it when they say "You will be in our prayers."  Men who will do everything they can to help you through the problem and who will love you with the same love that Jesus has for you.  It is a feeling that you will find nowhere else and which is given freely by these men because we are all God's Men.

Greetings and blessings to you.  I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there.  May you have a day of peace and love shared with your family.  To the fathers in the armed forces who aren't home but off protecting this fine country I woud also like to add a big "Thanks" for all you are doing.  I know it can't be easy being away from your loved one's but I respect what you are doing and want you to know it is appreciated.  Take care and have a great day.

Please remember if you have a chance to stop what you are doing at 12 noon on Wednesday and join all the other men throughout the ELCA who stop what they are doing and join them in prayer for the leadership of Lutheran Men in Mission.  All of the leaders need as much help as they can get.  Thanks and God Bless!

Dennis
