Lutheran Men in Mission is a group of men in a Lutheran congregation that meet together to further their knowledge of God's Word, to do God's work and to develop a meaningful parternership with Jesus and other Lutheran men. It is becoming very close friends with other men by sharing experiences, both good or bad, that they have had or are currently undergoing in their lives and finding that other men have had or are having the same experiences. It is having these men say "How can we help you?" and actually mean it.  It is having men who will share the entire experience with one another to include the pain and men who truly mean it when they say "You will be in our prayers."  Men who will do everything they can to help you through the problem and who will love you with the same love that Jesus has for you.  It is a feeling that you will find nowhere else and which is given freely by these men because we are all God's Men.

Greetings and blessings to you.  The assembly was this past weekend and while the turnout was not what I had hoped it would be it was still a success.  We had qite a few new faces in attendance and I think we will have some new blood joining us from now on.  The speaker was awesome to say the least.  He touched each and every man in attendance and spread the message that discileship is very important to men.  There are a lot of hurting men in this country, state and synod right now who need us to help them in their walk with Christ.  That point was driven home by all of our speakers and an important part of the meeting.  So we are looking forward to a busy but productive year of discipleship.  Stand by for more news to come.  Please remember to stop what you are doing at 12 noon on Wednesday and join all the other men throughout the ELCA who stop what they are doing and join them in pray for the leadership of Lutheran Men in Mission.  All of the leaders need as much help as they can get.  Thanks and God Bless!

Dennis
