Lutheran Men in Mission is a group of men in a Lutheran congregation that meet together to further their knowledge of God's Word, to do God's work and to develop a meaningful parternership with Jesus and other Lutheran men. It is becoming very close friends with other men by sharing experiences, both good or bad, that they have had or are currently undergoing in their lives and finding that other men have had or are having the same experiences. It is having these men say "How can we help you?" and actually mean it.  It is having men who will share the entire experience with one another to include the pain and men who truly mean it when they say "You will be in our prayers."  Men who will do everything they can to help you through the problem and who will love you with the same love that Jesus has for you.  It is a feeling that you will find nowhere else and which is given freely by these men because we are all God's Men.

December 22, 2009

Greetings and blessings to you.  I would like to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a very blessed and Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Prosperous New Yearage.

On February 20th, 2010 we will be holding our Annual Men's Conference so please mark the day on your calendar now so that you will be able to attend.  This year we will be focusing on Discipleship 101.  I have been feeling like we are not walking the walk and want to get our group focused and back to basics.  I intend to stress the mission which was given to us by Jesus.  That was to go and make disciples of all nations.  So we will be focusing on how to do this at the assembly.  With all of your input and help we can make our program a viable part of the synod and improve our men's ministry.  I look forward to seeing you all at the assembly and hope to hear some fresh new ideas which will revitalize our program.  Until then God Bless and be safe.  I also ask that you keep your LMM leaders and the men and women in the US Armed Forces in your prayers and I especially ask that you join all the other men in the ELCA each Wednesday at 12 Noon by stopping what ever you might be doing and join all the other men throughout the ELCA and pray for your LMM leaders. Thanks and God Bless!

Dennis
